This quilt was made by members of Naomh Muire Quilters to donate to victims of the recent flooding in Ireland.
Sally made this block showing a hurley and a very realistic sliotar as a tribute to Galway's hurling tradition for the Heritage quilt we are making to donate to the Galway City Museum.
The Western Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society meets on the second Saturday of every month from Sep. to May in The Bridge Centre, St. Mary's Road, Galway at 10am.
Membership costs 40Euro a year and allows you to attend meetings anywhere in Ireland, exhibit with the group, participate in classes and workshops, borrow from the library, receive a quarterly national newsletter.....all that and make lots of new friends who share a common interest!

"Western Reflections" a heritage quilt created by members of the Western Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society will be donated to the Galway City Museum's permanent collection on 7th April 2011
